About Lion Workplace
Lion Workplace was created for organisations dealing with complex workplace, leadership and psychosocial risk situations that do not fit neatly into a standard EAP referral.
Some workplace problems cannot be solved by offering a counselling session and stepping back. They require careful thinking about behaviour, distress, conflict, leadership response and organisational responsibility — often while a situation is still unfolding.
Lion Workplace provides practitioner-led support for organisations that need more than a referral pathway: support that can hold complexity, respond to risk and help people think clearly in difficult moments.

The gap between policy and people
Organisations are increasingly expected to recognise and respond to psychosocial risk. But the most difficult moments rarely arrive as clean categories.
They arrive as a manager unsure what to say. A team affected by conflict. An employee whose distress is beginning to shape performance or relationships. A critical incident that unsettles a workplace. A pattern of behaviour that people can feel but cannot yet name.
Lion Workplace exists in this gap — between formal responsibility and the lived complexity of human behaviour.
Why practitioner-led matters
When workplace difficulty becomes human difficulty, the quality of the person holding the conversation matters.
Darren Singh brings over a decade of experience across psychotherapy, counselling, family work, clinical supervision, leadership and professional education. His work has involved addiction, violence, trauma, parenting, grief, relational breakdown and complex behaviour — both with individuals and within systems under pressure.
This means organisations are not simply handed a generic referral pathway. They have access to an experienced practitioner who can think with them about behaviour, risk, distress, conflict and response — and help determine what support is actually required.
In practice, Lion Workplace may support organisations with:
Lion Workplace may support organisations when a manager is navigating an employee’s escalating distress, behavioural change or conflict; when a team has been affected by rupture, relational strain or a critical incident; or when leadership is trying to respond thoughtfully to psychosocial risk rather than only administratively.
It is designed for situations where a standard EAP referral pathway feels too thin, too delayed or too disconnected from the reality of what is happening inside the workplace.
A Lion Wellness program
Lion Workplace is a practitioner-led workplace offering developed from the clinical and organisational work of Lion Wellness.
It brings psychotherapeutic depth into organisational settings — supporting workplaces where people, risk, responsibility and decision-making meet.
Bring the difficult situation into conversation
The first step is not a package, portal or generic referral pathway. It is a confidential conversation about what is happening, what is required and whether Lion Workplace is the right support.
